Find trusted 24/7 crisis hotlines, mental health support services, and suicide prevention resources for youth, families, and caregivers. If you or someone you know is in crisis, help is available 24/7. You are not alone.

📞 Call or text 988 or chat on the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline website for free, confidential, compassionate support from trained counselors nationwide.

  • When to call 988? 988 is the best option for mental health crises, suicidal thoughts, or emotional distress. If there is an immediate risk to someone’s life or safety, call 911 instead.

  • Keep in mind: 988 routes your call or text to the nearest crisis counselor based on your area code. If your area code does not reflect your current location, let the counselor know so they can connect you with local resources.
