Risk & Protective Factors for Teen Suicide: Dr. Shashank Joshi @ 2023 AIM Symposium

Dr. Shashank Joshi, Professor of Psychiatry at Stanford University and lead author of the HEARD Alliance K-12 Toolkit for Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention, spoke at the AIM Youth Mental Health Symposium on May 25, 2023. He spoke about the protective and risk factors for suicidality and suicide prevention through a cultural lens and the interconnection of teen depression. He also provided insight into the Social-Ecological model for suicide prevention: society, community, schools, family, individual.
