I was Invited to join early on as an advisor. I came in with a sense of deep care and concern for the community and experienced the same from everyone within the group. We all felt the need to work in partnership to have a lasting impact and address the issues in the community.
1. HEARD holds a critical convening role and the responsibility within the community as it relates to youth suicide prevention and wellbeing.
2. The K-12 Toolkit ensures schools and districts understand their role in suicide prevention and support their students.
HEARD is a trusted resource for all of us (clinicians and community members). We have become aware of the issues and support one another on mobilization and action. We bring HEARD and its resources into action during crisis response as an enabling function for the community.
