I always have HEARD Alliance in my resource directory. It's incredibly valuable to have a local team of experts and practitioners in school mental health promotion and suicide prevention. I wish every school and community had one!
Working in suicide prevention, I know the Toolkit is a great starting point for shared language among community organizations, schools, and public agencies. These different sectors can consult the Toolkit to review which programs and policies to implement in their respective contexts to support mental health promotion and suicide prevention.
I am so grateful to directly connect with the HEARD Alliance team, who frequently share suicide prevention and mental health promotion resources and tools from the toolkit that align with my planning needs and inquiries, especially around prevention and postvention practices. I want to emphasize that this access to the HEARD Alliance team, and getting related information and materials, has been amazing. I encourage reaching out to them when needed.
